These are just a few things I have written in my journal lately that God is teaching me and I thought I would share.
- Choose joy daily - Live above difficult circumstances. Re-focus on what is most important in life...your purpose, God's purpose for you; and find joy in the fact that this life is temporary and we will spend eternity in Heaven!
- Walk with the Lord - Remain in His presence all day long - this can be done! Ask for strength, reduce distractions, and be mindful of the Lord as he works in every detail and moment of your day. He wants in on the details...talk to Him. When things don't go as you planned...realize that it was what HE had planned.
- Pray aloud to the Lord - I immediately feel the Lord's presence when I speak his name aloud and lift up praises to him aloud.
- Be expectant for the Lord to speak - I open up my journal ready to hear a word from the Lord each morning during my quiet time. He wants to speak to you. Listen.
- The Bible is drenched in wisdom. I need to read it more and more.
- I am so blessed - My dark past is a blessing - God has taught me so much through it and is using it for good...never thought I would say that.
- God's timing is PERFECT
- Trust is a daily decision..a moment to moment decision. Trust is believing God is who he says he is. This helps with choosing joy.
- My God is more amazing than I can, ever, or will fathom. The more time I am with Him the more he reveals himself to me. The more I learn of his works through his word the more in love with him I fall.
I am so thankful that the Lord is teaching me so much. I just need to remember them. I can't believe the Lord chose me to save but I am forever grateful that he did. I am nothing without him. The God of the universe wants to speak to you and me; with whom he has chosen to have a relationship.... that is so exciting!
